Mil Milagros Director of Communications & Special Projects

Mil Milagros is a high-impact non-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts and Panajachel, Guatemala that works in partnership with rural communities to prevent malnutrition and hunger and to improve children’s health and education in rural Guatemala.

Today, 50% of children in Guatemala are malnourished, with rates exceeding 70% in rural communities like those where MM works, and only 40% of children graduate from sixth grade.  MM is fundamentally changing these odds by engaging and partnering with more than 700 mothers, grandmothers, and teachers to serve more than 1,500 children in community-based nutrition, health/hygiene, and education programs. Graduation rates are up to 97% in our partner schools and measures of chronic malnutrition are down 50% in our partner communities.

Mil Milagros has a strong team of committed staff, volunteers, and community partners and is growing in response to the extensive need and the proven impact of our approach.  MM is seeking a special professional for the newly created position of Director of Communications and Special Projects.
